Technology

 

Five Stars Academy is a leader in 21st Century learning and a leader in incorporating new and exciting technology tools in the classroom.  We use technology, not as a teacher replacement, but rather as a teaching enhancement to continute to promote an environment focused on 21st Century learning.

 

Laptops

Every student in Grades 4 and up must have access to a laptop.  Students use the laptops collaboratively in ways that uniquely enhance the curriculum.  Laptops provide students an outlet to engage with their schoolwork and with each other in an interactive and creative way. 

 

AppleTV

Several of the classes offered utilize the AppleTV to engage the students in videos, websites, and other learning tools found on the Internet.  Science uses BrainPop and YouTube, Art class shows Biography Channel videos on the artists and History access videos from the History Channel to bring the curriculum to life.
